Here are answers to some of the questions I am asked most often. Hope its helpful!
Booking
All appointments are made through the online booking link. The only exceptions to this are group bookings where you need me to involve other artists/stylists. If you have any problems with the online booking then please feel free to contact me and I will help.
All appointments require a deposit to book. The deposit is paid by card on the online booking platform.
Deposits there to secure the specific space in the diary and ensure that no-one else can book it. The deposit is therefore non-refundable and non-transferable.
I work along side a number of other artists and stylists so if you have a group then feel free to contact me. I will be able to check availability with my colleagues and help you all get booked in together. Please bear in mind that they will have separate pricing to my own.
If you are late then I will always do my best to complete the service in the time remaining. However, I can never allow my other clients to run late because of this. Therefore I will be upfront about what is achievable in the remaining time. This may be a less detailed look than you had in mind. Full payment will still be required.
Studio
The studio is located at:
4th floor, 41 St Vincent Place, Glasgow, G1 2ER
It is just off Buchanan street so extremely central.
There are a few carparks near by. The nearest parking is probably either Buchanan Galleries shopping centre or st enoch shopping centre. The studio is very close to both queen street and central stations, as well as underground stops so is very easily accessible.
If your friends are also booked in then this is absolutely fine. However, due to Covid 19 industry guidance, we cannot have extra people waiting around in the salon who are not clients. The salon is near to lots of shops, bars and restaurants so there is plenty nearby to entertain your friends whist you have your hair/makeup done.
I accept either cash or card in the salon. The online booking platform also gives you the option to pay in full. I do not accept payment via bank transfer.
appointment prep
Plase arrive with clean, dry hair. Wash your hair the night before or morning of your appointment. Do NOT use straighteners on your hair after you have washed it. It is a bit of an old wives tale that hair up is better on a few day old hair – freshly washed will give you a better finish
Its better if you dont. However I understand we are slap bang in the city centre and not everyone wants to cut about with a fresh face! If you must wear makeup please keep it light so that it’s easy to remove. I always do full skin prep before makeup anyway however if there is a lot of makeup to remove then it will eat into your application time meaning less time to perfect your look!
I cannot work on coldsores, eye infections or open wounds. This is to protect you, me and my other clients. I will not be able to offer “just eyes” if you have a coldsore -I will need to refuse makeup service completely. Coldsores are just too infectious unfortunately and can be spread to your eyes if someone is touching your face and eyes. Its just not worth the risk.
